Al underwent a full Whipple procedure at Duke University on Wednesday, April 30th and came out with hopeful prognosis. Dr. Allen had to cut a little higher toward the liver than anticipated but he was able to get the mass out successfully. There was a good bit of inflammation present so the surgery lasted a little longer as he had to slow down quite a bit.

We will know more information in the next week or so as biopsy results from surgical tissues come back through the lab.

Al is awake and really trying to smile through the pain. He has remained calm and very confident in his medical team.

Thank you so much for all of your continued prayers for Al as he walks this road. He is so grateful for all the love and support he has been shown.
